Three receivers on one side, three depths. The defense cannot cover all three. First look: Orange, then Purple.

Who does what

  1. QB

    Hike it to yourself, then roll right. Deep, middle, short: throw to whoever is open.

  2. Y
    Yellow

    8 steps, then angle to the middle.

  3. B
    Blue

    12 steps, then angle to the right corner.

  4. O
    Orange

    7 steps up, then run to the right sideline.

  5. P
    Purple

    Two steps, then run all the way across to the right sideline, low.

What to say

  • Three receivers on one side: deep, middle, short.
  • QB: roll right and look deep, then middle, then short.
  • Stay on your level. Do not bunch up.

Watch for

Receivers end up at the same depth, so one defender covers two.

Cones at 2, 7 and 12 steps on one side. Each receiver owns a cone. The QB rolls toward them and throws to the cone the coach calls out.
